CID Awards 2018

It is the edition 12 of CID Awards with the 18 categories from hostility to retail to offices to public sectors.

CID has launched this year the new two categories which are Fit Out Project and the Best Use of Lighting.

In my point of view as an Interior Designer and as a Regional Director of a couple of Italian Lighting suppliers in the ME and with my 11 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing, and as a Blogger, I can tell, that CID award is really one of the unique in the region. It drives everyone to shine and bright in a different way. It creates always a new eye-catching award that encourages any creative person in Design domain to go further and put his/her footprint.

We saw this year that a couple of firms has got two/ three awards, which really made everyone wondering that what the talent behind those sectors! Who are those designers?

For example, LIGHT SPACE DESIGN, has won the most prizes this year, and two other ones including Interior DESIGN OF THE YEAR.

The recently rebranded Roar also picked multiple awards this year, taking home the Interior Design of the Year: Food & Beverage award for Shababeek restaurant in Sharjah and Interior Design Concept of the Year for Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park by Roar by Pallavi Dean.

We always wait for the moment to know who is the Interior Designer of the Year and this year the winner is Paul Bishop of Bishop Design, AKA. Rouge, while Wilson Associates won the Interior Design Firm of the Year award.
